FAIRVIEW CEMETERY and Church located on Highway 218 northeast of La Porte City, Iowa. Does anyone know who I can contact for information on what happened to this church and who is the caretakers of the cemetery now? I do not believe that anyone has been buried in there for a long time as the state has placed a road right up to the graves. I would like to find a complete listing of all people buried in the cemetery as so far most of them are my family members. Thank you in advance for any help!

Hello, my name is Wendi and I'm in Ohio working on my family tree. I have traced a member to the state of Iowa and was hoping for some help. His name is JAMES MALLORY. He came to Iowa from Meigs Co., Oh in about 1895 with his wife ARABELLE (She goes by BELLE) in 1895 I find him in Vinton, Benton Iowa then in 1900 JAMES and BELLE are boarders in Fairview, Jones, Iowa. They are ages 45(James) and 46(Belle) I can not find them after that. I was hoping someone could give suggestions. I found on Ancestry a JAMES MALLORY died in 1904, but I'm not sure if this is him. The Ancestry reads: James Mallory Death Dte: 28 Oct 1909 Page #: 70 Relative: 78 Level Info: Grave Records of Allamakee, Johnson, Howard and Lucas Counties, Adair, Gothrie, Madison, Marion Johnson County, Iowa Any help would be great. I would like to know if this is him and if not is he still in Iowa after 1900. I have lost him at this point. Thank you,

GEATER - SCHRADER family I have been handed a box of photos, bank statements, a diary and other odds and ends for this family. All indications show this family were farmers in Vinton, Iowa during the 1900's. If you can give me some details as to your connections, I will be happy to send you these items. I know how important it is to preserve our family histories.
