Beriah KING and his wife Lydia Malvina (THOMPSON) KING and four of their six children, George W., Willie, Nellie and Eva King, were living in Homer Twp., Benton Co., IA, according to the 1880 census. I am looking for Beriah's burial place or any other information on this family.

I am looking for the marriage dates for Joseph HENRY and Fred H. HENRY and spouses names. Also, the names and birthdates of their chidren. I am interested in any information on the nurder of Henry STEPPHENS on 26 Dec. 1876. This would include any cornor's inquest, newspaper article or death certificate if at all possible. Supposedly he sold horses in Vinton and was murdered on the way home, this being the family story. His wife's name was Margaret MCDOWELL, children, Harrison, James, Joseph, Mary Jane who was my husband's ggrandmother. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Dahrl E. Moore

Looking for more information on the Harrison WHITSON family, listed in the 1880 census in Harrison Co. IA as follows: Harrison Whitson, age 55 born TN Harriet Whitson, age 45 born NY Noble Whitson, age 15, born IL Hiram Whitson, age 10, born IA Hattie Whitson, age 7, born IA Martha Whitson, age 1, born IA This is more than likely Harrison WHITSON & Harriet MILLET who were married 30 Sept. 1854 in Jo Daviess Co. IL. Also would like to know the connection, if any, to other Whitson's in Benton Co.

This is in answer to a previous query. William BUTLER, who lived in Benton County and I was looking for dod & burial, died 18 May 1901 and is buried in Westveiw Cemetery near La Porte City, IA (per his obit).

John BIGLER was born June 24, 1812 in Switzerland. He came to the U.S. in 1833 and died December 17, 1867 in Parkers Grove Cemetery in Benton County, Iowa. I would like to verify his internment in this cemetery and wonder if any other family members are buried here as well. If you know anything about these individuals please contact me! ROBISON Looking for marriage certificate,information on Mariah C. ROBISON and her parents. She married Lorenzo Cleghorn PEYTON on Christmas Day, 1874 in Iowa. Possibly Benton County. Lorenzo lived near Troy Mills. Mariah was born in NY in 1847 and died in Sutherland, NE in 1910. Their children were Cyrus, Eva, Lewis, and Elmer PEYTON.

Does anyone know anything about a Cheese Factory that was at Mt.Auburn in 1871? M.A. KILE was the chairman and O.B. WHITCOMB the secretary which is on page 13 of the booklet, Mt.Auburn, Cedar Twp 1871- 1971. O.B. WHITCOMB was my husbands Great Grandfather. We are not sure who M.A. KILE was, would like to know. Abraham KILE was my husbands Great Grandfather.
