ROLAND, William, Photograph, ca 1900 (query 6/19/99) I have a photograph, identified as "William Roland" that I would like to return to Roland Family members if they can identify this specific William Roland. The photograph is of a young man, perhaps late teens, early 20's, probably taken 1890-1910, if that was the period in time in which young men wore ties with a very large knot at the top and with a shirtwith collars turned up rather than down. The picture is within a collection of photographs from my grandmother's collection; most of these pictures were of family members or of friends within the Church of the Brethren (before 1908 known as the German Baptist Brethren). The photographer is identified as "Fink Bros., Newhall, Iowa." If any reader can claim family relationship, please contact me at jmfreed@midohio.net .
