James Franklin “Frank” Schoby was born Oct. 18, 1919 to Chester Raymond and Myrtle Grace Brown Schoby. He died Jan. 10, 1944 (At Sea) and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, East Coast Memorial, New York and has a cenotaph in Riverview Cemetery, Algona, IA. 

LTJG Schoby served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps and was lost at sea when his carrier-based torpedo plane failed to successfully land aboard the escort carrier USS Guadalcanal (CVE-60) in rough seas (Atlantic War Zone). He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross.

Ronald Francis Sheller was born Jan. 6, 1924 to Frank and Alvina Sheller. He died Apr. 10, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint Avold, France. Sgt. Sheller served in World War II with the U.S. Army 3rd Tank Battalion, 10th Armored Division. He was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star.

Robert Harvey Siepman was born Jan. 1, 1927 to William H. and Frances Viola Shaffer Siepman. He died Nov. 18, 2015 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Petty Officer Siepman served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
