Dear Roxie:

Want to tell you more about Perlee, the coal mining town. There had to be lots of deaths and burials in the Perlee Cemetery. That has been a hard area to research as the cemetery was plowed up before l960 and 4 stones remained in l990. Last year sometime someone came and took the two
McMurray gravestones, so just two remain leaning against a tree This was a wild little town back when! Must have had 20 taverns.
At this point feel Wm Bassford probably died, had no guardianship, will or probate because he owned nothing to pass on to his 4 children. It may always be an unanswered question in your research.Have we corresp. before? Verda B
