Clayton County Register, 29 Dec. 1955.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church for Joseph Chapman, 92, Volga's oldest resident, who died early Tuesday morning, Dec. 27, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Rinkert, in Volga.

Burial will be in Hill Crest cemetery, Volga.
