Funeral services were conducted Dec. 13, 1955, by the Rev. Clare E. Biegler for Mrs. Henry Waterman.
Emma Clara Waterman was born July 28, 1876, at Elkport, Iowa, daughter of Ferdinand and Ernestine Wille. She died at her home Dec. 10, 1955.
Mrs. Waterman had been ill the past six months from cancer of the liver.
On Feb. 15, 1893, Emma Wille was united in marriage to Henry Waterman at Elkport, Iowa.
To this union were born 12 children. Two sons, Clarence and Fred, and one daughter Edna, and her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include Mrs. Pete (Amanda) Amsden, Elport; Mrs. Charles (Ernestine) Schultz, Edgewood; Mrs. Wm. (Freida) Parkinson, Edgewood; Lawrence Waterman, Alvin Waterman, Mrs. Lloyd (Ida) Hansel, Elkport; Mrs. Leon (Irma) Fishel, Strawberry Point, and Arnold Waterman, Garber.
Twenty-one grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Etta Rodas, Garber, and Mrs. C. C. Waterman of Elkport also survive.
Burial was made in Immanuel Lutheran cemetery at Elkport. Pallbearers were: Robert Fishel, Delorce Wille, Emil Boehm, Philip Beeh, Martin Waterman and Harold Reisellman.
