Henry Lindeman, the son of William and Marie Wilberg Lindeman, was born January 20, 1881, at Mederville, Iowa, and died at the Universit hospital at Iowa City, December 19, 1955, at the age of 74 years, ten months and 29 days.

Henry grew up on a farm with his brothers and sisters and when reaching manhood farmed for many years.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical Lutheran church and while residing in this community was a member of the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church and served as a member of the church council.

Henry had been in failing health for the past six months; four months ago he had surgery and since that time he stayed with his brother, William and sister, Emma, at McGregor and the Davis Nursing Home at Strawberry Point. On November 26 he was taken to Iowa City to the University Hospital, where he died of cancer.

Survivors are his brother, William, and three sisters: Mrs. Mary Meyer, Strawberry Point; Mrs. Doris Rodenberg, Guttenberg; Mrs. Emma Carlson, McGregor, and nieces and nephews. One brother died in infancy.

Services were held from the Witt funeral chapel, Thursday, December 22, at two p.m. with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Carl Meyer, Oscar Carlson, Emil Carlson, Lorance Lindeman, Marvin Rodenberg and George Carlson.
