Terry Witham died Tuesday morning after spending most of his short life in hospitals. He was the five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Witham of the Elkport area. His death occurred at the Manchester hospital where he had been most of the past autumn. He suffered from a disease of the pancreas that is always fatal.

Funeral services will be Friday from the Witt chapel in Elkader at 1:15 o'clock to the Hope Lutheran church in Littleport at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Communia cemetery.

(NOTE: Taken from an article about the raising of funds to cover the families medical and burial expenses. The child had been afflicted with various medical conditions from birth. A picture accompanied the article but did not reproduce well enough to use here.)
