The remains of Mrs. Mary Kafer, a former resident of here were brought back from Rockford, Ill. on Monday and laid to rest in Mt. Harmony cemetery. The immediate cause of her death was apoplexy.

She leaves surviving her eight children, Rev. Brock conducted the funeral services at Zapf's hall and at the cemetery.
