MEDERVILLE: Mrs. Carrie Alderson, 93 one of Clayton County's oldest residents, died Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Kramer.

Mrs. Alderson was born April 27, 1859, in Boardman township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Perry. She was a resident of this community all her life. In 1881 she was married to Fred Alderson. The couple first farmed near Strawberry Point, then purchased a farm near Mederville, then in 1910 moved to Mederville.

Mr. Alderson died in 1926 and five children also preceded Mrs. Alderson. Clarence, a son, Mrs. Vera Dittmer, a daughter, and three in infancy.

Mrs. Alderson had made her home in Mederville until three years ago when she went to live with her two daughters.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Kramer, Mrs. Gertrude Behrens, both of near Mederville.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Gill funeral chapel at Strawberry Point, the Rev. Wayne Carlsen officiating.
