At St. John's Lutheran church of Farmersburg, Sunday, occurred the marriage of Miss Marlene Kurth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Kurth of Postville, and Roland E. Doerring, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arno Doerring of Luana. The Rev. R. H. Steege officiated, and Mrs. John Bissell, sister of the bride, was soloist. Lavon was her sister's maid of honor, and Glady's Becker, cousin of the groom, was bridesmaid. Barbara Moon, niece of the groom, was flower girl, and Allan Peterson, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer. James Doerring, brother of the groom, was best man, and Maurice Henkes, cousin of the bride, was groomsman. Keith Mohs, cousin of the groom, and Valdean Fuelling, cousin of the bride, were ushers.
At the reception in the church parlors, Mrs. Howard Henkes, aunt of the bride, cut the cake.
The new couple will make their home on a farm near National.
