Miss Ruth Opsand, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Opsand, Elgin, Iowa, became the bride of Edward Edbald, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eben Edbald of Gheen, Minn., Oct. 29, at the Marion Lutheran church. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated. Corrine Rypestol, cousin of the bride, was organist, and Mrs. Rosella Burstrom, the bride's sister, sang several selections. The bride's sister, Mrs. Norman Amundson, was matron of honor. Earl Dahlman of Chicago, Ill., friend of the groom, was best man. Ushers were Morris Amundson and Wilfred Norman.
A reception was held at the Marion church parlors after the ceremony. A buffet supper was served to 100 guests. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Alma Hanson, the bride's sister, and Mrs. Christine Rypestol, the bride's aunt. Mrs. Hiedur Amundson, sister of the bride, served the coffee.
The new couple will make their home in Chicago at 1746 W. Racher.
The bride is employed as head technician in the x-ray department of Swedish Covenant hospital, in Chicago. The groom is an employee of J. Albert Larson Plastering company of Chicago.
