Schuety - Hesner marriage - 1955

Miss Belva Hesner, daughter of Mrs. Harriette Hesner of Strawberry Point, became the bride of Carlus E. Schuety of Elkader, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schuety, also of Elkader. Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the bride's home. Miss Verdis Brooks and Francis Kuhse, friends of the contracting couple, were their only attendants.

The new couple will be at home on a farm north of Elkader.

The bride is a graduate of Strawberry Point high school and attended Wane school of dental nursing in Chicago. For the past two years she has been home with her mother in Strawberry Point. The groom attended the Elkader schools and served two years in the Army. He received his discharge last December and has been working with his father on their farm since that time.
