Baars - Marcsisak marriage - 1955

At the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church, Sept. 12, Miss Donna Lee Marcsisak, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Marcsisak of Elkader, exchanged marriage vows with Delbert C. Baars, son of Mrs. Katherine Baars and the late Henry C. Baars, also of Elkader. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. The soloist, Mr. John H. Edwards of San Diego, Calif., brother-in-law of the bride, sang several selections during the ceremony. Mrs. John H. Edwards of San Diego, served her sister as matron of honor and Miss Evanna Marcsisak of Colfax, a cousin of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his nephew, Sheldon Clinton as best man, and his cousin, Duane Klink, as groomsman.

At the reception in the church parlors, Mrs. Ruth Clinton, sister of the groom cut the cake and Miss Shirley Clinton, niece of the groom, served the ice cream.
