Hubacher - Schweikert marriage - 1955

MONONA: Miss Nancy Schweikert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Schweikert of Monona, became the bride, Sept. 18, of Robert Hubacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Hubacher, also of Monona. The Rev. R. C. Schlueter officiated in St. Paul's Lutheran church. Mrs. Richard Clefisch of Garnavillo, cousin of the bride, was matron of honor, and Donald Hubacher, brother of the groom, was best man, and William Otis of Washington, D.C., cousin of the groom was groomsman. Ushers were Daniel Schweikert of Des Moines, brother of the bride, and James Hazlett of Monona.

A reception in the church parlors for 300 guests followed the ceremony, at which Miss Charlene Easton and Mrs. Carl Houg cut the wedding cake and Miss Renee Tangeman of Iowa City, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Donald Hubacher, sister-in-law of the groom, poured. Mrs. Daniel Schweikert of Des Moines, sister-in-law of the bride, held the guest book.

The bride and groom are graduates of the Monona-Farmersburg community schools. She has been employed at the Fox pharmacy and the groom is engaged in farming. The couple will be at home on the Howard Hubacher farm.
