Morris Herman Bergan was born Jan. 5, 1918 to Elmer and Marie Bergan. He died Sept. 2, 2010 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Bergan served with the U.S. Army in World War II and was awarded the Bronze Star.

George J. Brom was born Nov. 20, 1912 to Joseph J. and Elenora M. Korbel Brom. He died Mar. 23, 1980 and is buried in Saint Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery, Calmar, IA.

George served in World War II with the U.S. Army 109th Medical Battalion.

Leo Frank Brom was born Mar. 14, 1917 to Joseph J. and Elenora M. Korbel Brom. He died Aug. 9, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila America Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Saint Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery, Calmar, IA.

Chief Petty Officer Brom served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Astoria (CA-34) and was MIA/KIA when that vessel was sunk in the Solomon Islands. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

Walter William Brom was born Dec. 10, 1914 to Joseph J. and Elenora M. Korbel Brom. He died Feb. 18, 1942 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, East Coast Memorial, New York City, NY and in Saint Aloysius Catholic Church Cemetery, Calmarr, IA.

Petty Officer Brom served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Truxton (DD-229) which went down in a gale off the coast of Newfoundland. He had previously served aboard the USS Tracy (DD-214) and USS Herndon (DD-638).
