Lynda, this is what I found for you.
R Stapelmoor, age 18, male, born in Germany; port of Departure: Bremen, Germany via Southhampton, England; Arrival: New York, NY on February 26, 1872 on the ship "Bremen." According to census records, Simon did not emigrate until 1884.
According to unconfirmed sources, some researchers believe that their parents were Rudolf and Elmira Stoppelmoor. Most believe that they originated from Simonswolde, Aurich, Niedersachsen, Germany.
The following book, published in 1998 with 400 pages is available in four libraries in the United States. You can probably get it on interlibrary loan at your local public library.
The libraries that have it are:Concordia University Library Technology Center - St. Paul, MN
Peoria Public Library - Peoria, IL
Saint Louis County Library - St Louis, MO
and the LDS Family History Library in Salt Lake City which does not interlibrary loan.
