Excellent question, Sheila. I have searched high and low for Backus and Lida with no luck. I found one Biographical Sketch in Logan County, Illinois which indicated they lived in Jackson Minnesota, but I have not found them there either. Like you, I would like to know if there is any record of their deaths in Eagle Grove. Thanks.
