May Spoon is my great great grandma, her name was Ida May. I don't think MA Fisher were married because Ida May died in the late 1940's as Ida Herrington (Harrington). The father of the 5 children MA Fisher adopted.
There is no address. Just that the children, all of DesMoines in the County of Polk, state Iowa. M.A. Fisher of Avon in the County of Polk, state of Iowa.
This adoption paper was singed Oct. 17, 1913.
Some family members think that MA Fisher was a doctor. The weird thing is that the kids went by their fathers name Harrington (Herrington) when they came back to Michigan, Grand Rapids, county of Kent.
The document reads:
MA Fisher
To:
Hellen Harrington (my great grandma)Hellen, Everet, Kenneth, Harry and Harold all took back the name of Harrington.
I don't know if May Spoon had a boyfriend who adopted them or if MA Fisher was a friend and was helping May Spoon after the death of her husband Chas W. Harrington. He died Feb. 1912.
I appreciate your help!!!
Christy
