Thanks ever so much Sarah Thorson Little! I have seen the obit before but not the other information. In fact, in all of the different Matthews that I have researched in looking for Elias' parents I have never run across an Edward and Elizabeth Epperly Matthews. Though I must admit that I am not very good at doing the research, not for a lack of trying. I will definitely pull at that thread and hope to find new clues. Thanks so much again.
