I am desperate to find the lineage for an ancestor of mine by the name of Elias G. Matthews (often referred to as E.G.) His wife's name is Sarah E. Covey/Matthews. They arrived in Iowa around 1849.
There is speculation that his parents are a David E. Matthews and a Hester Goodman but I have yet to see any solid proof of this. This family resided in or around Muskatine/Cedar counties from around 1849 to 1860.
I do not know if this is an appropriate request of information but I thought perhaps in my desperation I might run across just the right person with just the right information. Thanks ever so much.
