Funeral services were held Saturday from St. John's Evangelical and Reformed church at Garber for Mrs. Augusta Schnack, 77, native resident of Clayton County, who died at her home in Elkport July 04 following a long illness.

The service was conducted by the Rev. Grant Lawrence, pastor of the Guttenberg Methodist church and burial was in the Mt. Harmony cemetery in charge of the Tuecke funeral home.

Mrs. Schnack was born February 01, 1874, in Clayton County, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rath. She lived all her life in the county and was married to John Schnack at Elkport. Mr. Schnack preceded her in death.

Mrs. Schnack is survived by four children, three boys and one daughter. They are Lester Schnack of East Moline, Ill.; Earl Schnack of Clayton; Virgil Schnack of Rock Island, Ill., and Mrs. Leo Kirschbaum of Elkport. A grandson, John Kirschbaum, of Waterloo also survives.

Mrs. Schnack was preceded in death by a brother, Charles, and two sisters, Mary and Clara, as well as by her husband.
