MRS. ANTHON BERNS

Mrs. Anton Berns was born Aug. 26, 1888, a daughter of John and Mary Wolter and died at her home Thursday, July 05, 1951, after a long illness.

She was married to Anton Berns Nov. 04, 1913, at Guttenberg.

Funeral services were held Monday, July 09, 1951, at St. Joseph's church at 9:00 a.m. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery.

Mrs. Berns was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church and the Rosary society.

She leaves her husband and eight children, Mrs. Leander (Gertrude) Gobel of Masonville, Miss Lucile at home, Mrs. Ray (Catherine) Torberg of Dubuque, Mrs. Clarence (Rose-Mary) Bries of Dyersville, Mrs. Carroll (Rita) Kleis of Ottumwa, Leon and Francis of Garnavillo and Cpl. Anthony Berns of the Army Air Force. One brother, Arthur J. Wolter of Guttenberg, an infant daughter, her parents, one sister and a grandson preceded her in death.
