Miss Louise Schoch, 61, died Saturday, May 12, 1951 at Dubuque of a heart attack. She had been ailing for several years. She was born February 09, 1890 in Elkader, the daughter of Charles and Reka Schoch. She lived in Elkader for some years and for the past years made her home in Dubuque, where she kept house and took care of her brother. She was living there at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers and three sisters. She was educated in the Elkader public school. She is survived by 4 nephews and 3 nieces.
Services were held at the Congregational Christian church Tuesday, May 15 at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. Herbert Kelly officiated. Burial was in the East Side cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Paul Presley, Dave Whitney and Lowell Watkins of Dubuque, George and Arthur Hochhaus and L. C. Lenth, Elkader.
Relatives and friends from a distance who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Marie Hall, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Van Winkle, Mrs. Nan Hillier, Mrs. Birdee Marten, Mrs. Lena Burrows, Embert Burgemeyer, Lowell Watkins, Dave Whitney and Paul Presley, all of Dubuque; Mrs. J. T. Colegrove, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Reichert and Mrs. Earnest Meyer of West Union; Mr. and Mrs. Edison Lenth of Waukon.
