MONONA: Services for Roy J. Sheppard, 59, of Nerstrand, Minn., were held Wednesday, Aug. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Schultz funeral home with the Rev. A. W. Ebert officiating. Burial was in the Gooding cemetery in Wagner Township.

Mr. Sheppard died Aug. 24 at University hospital in Minneapolis.

He was born in Wagner Township June 21, 1900, a son of William and Tillie Marfilius Sheppard. He followed the occupation of farming most of his life.

Survivors are four brothers, Ben of Langdon, N.D., Elmer of Keosauqua, Myron of Fayette, and Alva of Kalispell, Mont.; and three sisters, Mrs. Cora Morch, Luana, Mrs. Clara Olson and Mrs. Roy (Esther) Burr, both of Cresco.

Pallbearers were William Marfilius, David Kammerer, Henry Miller, Russell White, Arthur Jacobson, Richard Hofer, and Melvin Nims.
