Clayton County Register, 02 July 1959.

Mrs. Mearl (Elva) Peterman, of Lansing, Michigan, died suddenly Monday evening, June 29, while visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. Ollie Meyer, in Elkader.

Funeral services will be Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at Witt's Funeral chapel with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial will be in the East Side cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Peterman arrived in Elkader last Friday for a visit with Mrs. Peterman's sisters, Mrs. Ollie Meyer and Mrs. Pearl Stendel, and her brother, Frank Shaw.
