Beldon - Wiedner marriage - 1951

VOLGA CITY NEWS: Announcement was made this week of the marriage of Miss Zola Darlene Wiedner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Wiedner, and Gordon Duane Beldon, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Beldon, which took place March 03, 1951, at Strawberry Point. Darwin Newton, Justice of the Peace, performed the ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Moats of Strawberry Point, uncle and aunt of the groom, witnessed the ceremony.

The bride is a member of the 1951 senior class, and the groom is a graduate of the Volga class of 1947. Several weeks ago he enlisted in the U.S. National Guard at Oelwein.

The couple will live in Volga, where the groom is associated with his father in raising turkeys. The bride will continue as clerk at Crandall's Cash Market.
