Jan. 03, 1951, Shirley Ann Rodas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Rodas, Strawberry Point, became the bride of Marvin Fasse, son of Mr. O. A. Fasse of Ridgeway, Iowa. The Rev. W. G. Weber officiated in the Hope Lutheran church, Littleport. Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Haven, La Porte City, Iowa, friends of the couple, served as matron of honor and best man. Ushers were Donald and Irvin Rodas, cousins of the bride. Donna Rodas, sister of the bride was in charge of the guest book.
A reception for 130 guests was held in the church parlors, at which Mrs. George Costigan, aunt of the bride, cut the cake, and Mrs. Foster Mohning, cousin of the bride, poured. Marilyn Rodas, sister of the bride, was in charge of the gifts.
The bride is a graduate of the Elkader Junior college and has taught at Garnavillo and La Porte City. She has been attending Iowa State Teachers college. The groom, before entering the service, managed the Mars theatre in La Porte City.
The couple left for Jacksonville, Fla., where the groom is in the Navy, and where their home will be made.
