Gordon Donald Phipps was born Oct. 18, 1921 to James Wesley and Ellen Deborah Bloom Phipps. He died Feb. 23, 1945 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
1st Lt. Phipps served in World War II with the U.S. Army 182nd Infantry and was KIA on Samar, Philippine Islands.
