NORTH SIOUX CITY, S.D. - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julie Miller Buchholz, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and partner. A celebration of Julie's life will be held Friday, March 7, 2025, at 11 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior at Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City, 4125 Orleans Ave.

Julie was born on October 31, 1959, to Evelyn and Ervin Langel, and she graced our lives with her vibrant spirit until her passing on February 24, 2025.

Julie's legacy is carried on by her adoring children: Melissa Miller, Nathan Miller, Danny Zimmerman, and Brandy Buchholz; her seven cherished grandchildren: Andreas, Ravon, Nick, Jonah, Forrest, Skylar, and Josie. Each of them holds a special place in their hearts for her kindness, warmth, and quirky sense of humor that always brought laughter and joy to family gatherings.

For 30 wonderful years, Julie shared her life with the love of her life, Thomas Buchholz. Their bond was a testament to love and companionship, and her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of those who knew them.

Julie's passion for life was evident in everything she did. She had a talent for baking and sewing, often creating treasures for her family and friends. Her adventurous soul found joy in spending time on the river, where she could be found laughing and enjoying nature.

She is preceded in death by her loving parents; her sister, Vonnie Langel; and the love of her life, Tom. Julie's departure leaves a profound emptiness for all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Julie Miller Buchholz was a shining light in this world, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of loving her.
