Renee Fokken

August 25, 1955 - November 30, 2024

Renee Marie Fokken, a beloved daughter, sister, sister in love, aunt, great aunt, cousin and cherished friend passed away peacefully at the age of 69 from pancreatic cancer.

Renee was born on August 25, 1955 in Le Mars, Iowa to Kenneth and Marilyn (Eberly) Fokken.

Renee graduated from East High School in 1974. She studied at WIT. Her career began working with her sister as CNAs at St. Vincent Hospital.

She dedicated her life for 44 years of many roles and as a GI tech at MercyOne in Sioux City.

After retirement in 2019, she became our mother's caretaker. She loved watching birds on the patio, her pet parrots, knitting, embroidery, bowling and going to The Hard Rock Casino.

Those left to honor her memory are her mother, Marilyn Fowler; sister, Colette Woolery (Larry); nephew, Joshua Noteboom (Candice); nephew Jacob Noteboom (Rany) great nephew, Tyler Noteboom and many other loved ones and friends.

So very grateful to my nephew Joshua for being so caring and supportive and to all of my family and friends, Julie and Cheri.

Thankful to everyone on the care team at Madonna Rehab, Regency Square, Hospice of Siouxland and the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

She was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Fokken.

Renee loved her family and friends. You are loved and will be deeply missed, you were taken to soon. Love you my Sissy.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
