I agree that the matter should be pursued, but it would be most productive if we could get some 'official' response and information from the Wapello Co. Gen. Soc. before 'making a great noise' about this.

The Wapello County society is relatively small and staffed by all volunteers, as most societies are, and it seems only fair (since they appear to be in the middle of this) that they be given a chance to clarify things before anyone makes a great stink and then turns out to be embarrassingly misinformed.

It could be that this situation is more under control than the information so far obtained suggests. If indeed there is as great a problem as there appears to be at this time, or if the Gen. Soc. chooses not to explain the situation, I'll work on the letter writing myself and hope others will also. I'll contact the Society via e-mail today and post here any information I'm able to obtain.
