Ralph J. Saner

Ralph H. Saner, 56, of Eldon route 1 died January 14, 1991, at Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield.

He was born May 16, 1934, in Davis County to Jack and Dorothy Herbert Saner. He married Doris Pearson Cloke in 1967, in Wapello County. She died in June, 1967.

He was reared and educated in Eldon, graduating from Eldon High school in 1954. He was employed by John Deere Ottumwa Works for 23 years, was a member of American Legion, Veteran's of Foreign Wars in Ottumwa and Local No. 74 of United Auto Workers.

He is survived by a son, Leon of Glenwood; a live-in companion, Elsie Oldaker of Eldon; a brother, Howard of Allerton, and six sisters, Helen "Arlene" Bonner of Estherville, Bertha Kern and Icel Fisk of Eldon, Nora Seagins of Fort Madison, Dora Sloan of New London and Shirley DePue of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; to sisters; and two stepchildren.

The service was held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, January 18, 1991 at Campbell-Kremer Funeral Home in Eldon, the Rev. David Albert officiating. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery near Floris.

Memorials may be made to the family.
