Fredrick Lee Slonaker

Fredirick(err) Lee Slonaker, died February 21, 1990 in Lexington, Ky. He was the son of Vera and the late Percy Slonaker.

He was born in Pulaski, Iowa August 29, 1939 and was fifty years old.

He moved to Birmingham with his family in 1950 and graduated from Birmingham High School in 1957.

He worked for his father at the "66" station after which he attended Kirksville College for two years. He then moved to Lexington where he was married to Geneva Coy. The lived on Glendale Dr., Lexington for several years.

Kerr Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of services where the funeral was held at the Revival Tabernacle Church with Rev. Bryon Jesup officiating. Burial was at Versailes, Ky. Cemetery.

He is survived by three children, Vera Lynn, Steven and Debbie, all of Kentucky; six grandchildren and two step-daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Also surviving are his mother, Vera Slonaker of Fairfield, two brothers, Larry and Terry, two sisters, Linda and Janet.

Those attending services from this area were Larry and Connie and family, Janet and Denny Hampton of Ankeny, Mike and Shirley Coffey and son of Urbandale, Linda and David Bradley of Muscatine, Terry, Patty and family of Jacksonville, Fla.

Fred was the organist in his church. He was preceded in death by his wife Geneva, his father and a nephew Travis.
