Bertie Vornkahl

Bertie Vornkahl, 98, Farmington, died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, November 26, 1990 at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, Missouri.

She was born October 19, 1892 in Clark County. She lived in Farmington for 38 years, and was a member of the Farmington United Methodist Church and Chapter O. of PEO.

Surviving are three sons, Marvin of Farmington, Merrill of Kankakee, Illinois and Mel of Keokuk; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother. Her parents were Zack T. and Clarinda Gammon Clifton.

Services were held Wednesday, November 28, 1990 at the Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington with Reverend William Olmsted officiating. Burial was in the Anson Cemetery near Farmington.

A memorial has been established with the Anson Community Church. Contributions may be made at the funeral home.
