Myrtle Sipp

Myrtle O. Sipp, 97, of Mt. Sterling, died Nov. 26, 1990, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

She was born September 26, 1893, in Chamberlain, S.D. to Arthur and Nettie Brady Olson. She married Norman Sipp on December 31, 1920, in Lincoln, Nebr.; he died in 1970.

She was reared in South Dakota and lived in Omaha and Lincoln, Neb. before moving to Lockridge and Mrt(err) Sterling. She has resided at Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua for the past two years.

She is survived by a daughter, Norma Butner of Mt. Sterling; seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Louis Olson.

Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Thursday, November 29, 1990 at Lockridge Cemetery, the Rev. Bob Patterson's officiating.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Sterling, United Methodist Church.

Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua was in charge of arrangements.
