July 3, 1913 - Feb. 19, 1990
KAHOKA, Mo. - Mary Ethel Ritter, 76, of Kahoka, died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 19, io(in) Keokuk Area Hospital.

She was born July 3, 1913, in Ashton, Mo., the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Nancy Ellen Measures Toops. She married Stanley Worrell on May 30, 1934. He preceded her in death in 1976. She later married Ross Ritter on April 1, 1958. He preceded her in death in 1988.

She lived all her life in Clark Conty and attended the Revere School. She worked at Moore's Business Forms in Kahoka and Swift and Company in Keokuk. More recently she had worked at the Industrial Opportunities in Kahoka.

She was a member of the Peaksville Christian Church.

Survivors include her sons Richard Worrell of Farmington and mrvn(Marvin) Worrell of Santee, Calif.; daughters Marilyn Harberson of Phoenix, Ariz. and Mrs. Dale (karen) Hamner of Kahoka; 11 grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

She also was preceded in death by a son and a granddaughter.

Private family funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Shaffer and Sons Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Don Mosely officiating.

Burial will be in the Ashton Cemetery, Luray, Mo.

There will be made to the Clark County Nursing Home.

Shaffer and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
