Earl Wayne Clark

Earl Wayne Clark, 57, 1228 Glenview Circle, died at 3:09 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 1990, at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Iowa City.

The services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Behner Funeral Home with the Rev. John D. Boatman officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials have been established to Fairfield Public Library and First Baptist Church Building Fund.

Clark was born Sept. 11, 1933, near Stockport High School in 1951. He joined the U.S. Navy and retired as a chief petty officer in June 1972. He attended Roger Williams College in Bristol, R.I., graduating with a BS degree in accounting. He married Jean Farthing on Sept. 22, 1979, in Carthage, Ill. He was a U.S. Treasury Agent for the U.S. Treasury Department with his office in the Federal Building in Davenport. He was a member of Utica Methodist Church, Fairfield Elks Lodge 1192, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2271, Disabled American Veterans, Fairfield Golf and Country Club, Fleet Reserve Association - Rhode Island, Rock Island Bowling Association and Fairfield Men's Bowling Association.

Surviving are his wife; three sons, Kenneth W. LeMoore, Calif., John R. of Middletown, R.I., Mark A. of Ankeny; a daughter, Roseanna Marie Ackerly of Sioux City; five stepdaughters, Dena Mobbs, Jenny McKay, both of Attleboro Falls, Mass., Terri Collins of Goose Creek, S.C., Lisa Greenig of Fairfield, Cindy Paitl of Menominee, Mich.; two stepsons, Mat Hazlett of Fort Drum, N.Y., Bill Hazlett of Fort Drum. N.Y., Bill Hazlett of Greenfield, Mass.; three grandchildren; 11 stepgrandchildren; his mother of Stockport; two sisters, Mamie Moeller of Mount Pleasant, Donna Thompson of Williamsburg and a brother, Donald R. of Creston.

His father preceded him in death.
