Reva F. Arnold

Reva F. Arnold, daughter of Lloyd and Stella Hining Hull, was born April 4, 1907 near Floris and departed this life the morning of Monday, November 12, 1990 at Parkview Care Center, Fairfield, at the age of 83.

She married Charles D. Arnold July 21, 1926 in Ottumwa. He died in 1960. Reva graduated from Douds High School and lived most of her life in Douds until moving to Fairfield in 1975. She had resided the past ten years at Parkview.

She was an Assistant Postmaster in Douds for ten years and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Douds Temple No. 104, Pythian Sisters, and had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Remaining to cherish her memory are three sons, Glenn of Fairfield, Lloyd and his wife, Nancy, of Los Angeles, California and Don and his wife, Donna, of Fairfield, a daughter, Marlene Overturf and her husband, Steve, of Houston, Texas, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Ancel Hull, Douds and Orvill Hull, Hudson, Colorado, two sisters, Lala Holton and Ruth White both of Ottumwa, other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were a daughter-in-law, Darlene "Dolly" Arnold, and two sisters, Irene Pfaff and Iva Fisk.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 15, 1990 at 1 p.m. in Christ United Methodist Church, with Rev. David Pease and Rev. Stephen Metcalf-Conte officiating. Interment was in Zion Lutheran Cememetery(err) near Douds. A memorial was establidhed(err) for her church or memorials may be made to charity of donor's choice. Arrangement were in charge of Pedrick Funeral Home, Douds.
