Evelyn Westphal

Evelyn E. Westphal, 61, of Milton died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 1990, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born Oct. 17, 1928, in Ocheyedan, to Henry and Marie Boeke Hartwig. She married Lester Westphal on October 13, 1954, in Sioux Falls, S.D.

She was a member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Memphis, Mo. and the V.F.W. Auxiliary of Milton.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Carmen Pease of Parkersburg, W. Va. and Shelley Hoff of Canyon Lake, Texas; two grandchildren; two brothers Raymond of Lodi, Calif. and Emmett of Oceyedan.

The service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 1990 at the Grace United Methodist church in Milton, the Rev. Richard Wilson of Memphis, Mo.

Priester Funeral Chapel in Milton was in charge of arrangements.
