Harold Edmondson Brown, 87, died at 8:10 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 1990 at the Long Term Care Davis County Hospital.
He was born June 12, 1903 in Van Buren County near Milton, Iowa to William and Maggie Edmondson Brown.
He married Helen Boslaugh on May 27, 1939 at University Park, Iowa.
After graduation from Troy High School in 1921 he took a normal training course at Parsons College in Fairfield and taught at Hopewell and Valley Schools in Van Buren County.
He sold insurance for Modern Woodman of the World in several southern and eastern states before taking up farming on the home place in Van Buren County. Besides farming he drove a school bus for the Troy School for over 30 years. He also worked in the office of the Troy Center of D.C.C.S. and was a member of the Troy United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Margret Sauer, a half brother, Roy and an infant granddaughter.
Funeral services were held June 23, 1990 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Interment was in the Sunnyside Cemetery, Milton, Iowa.
