Frank W. Lane

Frank W. Lane, 80, 1003 S. Third St., died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 1990, at his home.

The service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stockport United Methodist Church in Stockport with Methodist Church in Stockport with the Rev. Sara Malone officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery at Stockport. Family visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials have been established to Stockport United Methodist Church and Stockport First Responders.

Lane was born March 15, 1910, on the home farm near Stockport United Methodist and Stockport First Responders.

Lane was born March 15, 1910, on the home farm near Stockport, the son of Wilsoh(err) C. and Anna Maria Jacobs Lane. He married Artie L. Buerkens Oct. 18, 1933, in Des Moines. A farmer until his retirement in 1975, he had lived for 75 years in the Stockport community before moving to Fairfield Oct. 10, 1985. They had lived on a century farm for 52 years. He was a member of Stockport United Methodist Church, a member of the church board and had been treasurer for seven years. He was on the Stockport School Board for five years and president for two years. He also served on the Spencer Cemetery Board for several years.

Surviving are his wife; a son, Jerry L. of Kerrville, Texas; a daughter, Linda Jean Morrison of El Paso, Texas; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; may nieces and nephews. Four brothers, Harry, Dewey, A.J. and Joe and a sister, Ida, preceded him in death.
