Charles Hoag, Jr., Former Nevada Man, Is Dead
Word has reached Nevada of the death at Los Angeles on May 6 of Charles E. Hoag, world war veteran and native son of Nevada.
According to a message received from Maurice Hoag, his only brother, by F. M. Boardman of Nevada, funeral rites will be held at Los Angeles and the body will be sent to Nevada for interment in the family lot in the Nevada cemetery. Burial will be under the auspices of the Nevada Post No. 48, American Legion.
The deceased was the younger of the two sons of the late Dr. and Mrs. Charles E. Hoag, the father being a practicing dentist in Nevada for many years. Dr. Hoag sold his practiced here in 1900 to Dr. S. W. Arthur, who is still here and continuing active practice.
Dr. Hoag had some mining interests in Mexico and the family went there from here. They remained for but a short time in Mexico. After a brief residence here they went to Wapello, former home of Mrs. Hoag, where the doctor established a practice and where he died a few years ago. Mrs. Hoag died later in California.
Dr. Hoag built and for many years lived in the residence at 734 Seventh street, now owned and occupied by Mrs. Daisy Huddlestun.
