My Maternal Great Grandmother Mary E Archibald was born: Nov 17,1858 in Mattoon, Illinois and Rode the Orphan Train to Des Moines,Iowa to Family of Daniel Michaels. Found her in 1870 Washington,Des Moines, Iowa Census at age 11 but she was not on 1860 Census with the Family. So her Travel had to be between 1860 & 1870,
I am trying to see if there any records show her Parents Names. My deceased Aunt told me she remembered the name Volensever (Possible her Mothers Maiden Name)
