Graveside services for Mrs. Lester (Margaret) Hayes, 86, were held at Oak Ridge cemetery, West Liberty, Oct. 27, 1989 with the Rev. Ralph Farmer officiating. Mrs. Hayes died at the Simpson Memorial Home Oct. 25.

The daughter of John and Dora DeMean Kurz, she was born in West Liberty July 12, 1903. She married Lester W. Hayes Oct. 19, 1931. He died in 1972.

She spent her life in West Liberty. She was a member of the Presbyterian church, American Legion Auxiliary, Royal Neighbors and the Rebekah Lodge.

There are no immediate survivors.
