Funeral services for Dorothy Meyer, 78, Moscow, were held Sept. 19, 1988 at Lacock Funeral Home in Wilton, with the Rev. Robert J. Davis Mayo officiating. Deb Mohr was the organist and pallbearers were James Timmsen, Lee and Jerry Lenker, Roger Marolf, Harold Meyer and Brad Smith. Burial was in the Oakdale cemetery.
Mrs. Meyer died Sept. 16 at Mercy hospital in Davenport.
The daughter of Eugene and Grace Gill Lenker, she was born July 21, 1910 in Cedar county. She married Carl Meyer Dec. 24, 1930 in Wilton. She was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, and the Wilton Golden Age club. She had worked as a nurse's aide at the Wilton Nursing Home for 16 years.
Mrs. Meyer is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Shirley) Stroud, Baton Rouge, La.; a son, Don, Moscow; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Vera Marolf, Wilton and Lois Smith, Muscatine and 2 brothers, Alfred "Stub" Lenker and Lauren Lenker, both of Wilton.
