Funeral services for Phyllis Rossmann, 84, West Liberty, were held Oct. 1, 1988 at the United Methodist church in West Liberty, with the Rev. Donald Thompson officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery.
Mrs. Rossmann died Sept. 28 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City following a heart attack.
The daughter of George and Elizabeth Lambert Embree, she was born July 30, 1904 in West Liberty. She married Roy Rossmann April 8, 1928 in Ottumwa. She was a member of the United Methodist church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Royal Neighbors of America and the Women of the Moose. Before retiring she worked for several years with the hot lunch program in the West Liberty schools.
Mrs. Rossmann is survived by 2 sons, Richard, Preston and Duane, Mt. Dodge; a daughter, Joyce Parizek, West Liberty; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and a sister, Naomi Stevens, Bremerton, Wash. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, a daughter, 2 brothers and a great-grandson.
