Graveside services for Larry Giese, 40, Denton, Texas and formerly of Wilton, were held Aug. 8, 1988 in Denton.

Mr. Giese died at his home Aug. 6 following a brief illness.

The son of Reinhart and Pearl Jahr Giese, he spent most of his life in the Wilton area. He married Kathy Scharffenberg May 23, 1971. He was a carpenter by trade.

Mr. Giese is survived by 5 children, Ronald and Tami, Wilton and Kristi, Brian and Amy, all at home; his mother, Pearl Giese, Atalissa; 3 sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Darlene) Croson, Atalissa; Mrs. Wayne (Linda) Pond, Denton and Mrs. Tom (Cindy) Bernel, Muscatine; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
