Final rites for Clinton L. Meyers, 79, were held at the Cedar Valley Methodist church in Muscatine county March 29 with the Rev. Joe M. Lee officiating. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers were Virgil and George Meyers, Thomas Carey, Thomas Pierson, Kenneth Smith and Russell Newcomb. Beverly Blair was organist.

Mr. Meyers died at his home near West Liberty March 26.

The son of Henry and Lizzie Deahr Meyers, he was born near Cedar Valley in Muscatine county Jan. 21, 1908. He was married to Uneta Mae Flater at Cedar Valley Jan. 10, 1936. He farmed until retiring in 1980, when the couple moved to West Liberty. He was a trainer and dealer of trick horses.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Jack K., Nichols; a daughter, Patti Hamann, Forest Park, Ill.; 4 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Margaret Van Atta, West Liberty. He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
